Tall Tales of Odahi

What started as a joke during the inaugural “Dungeons and Drawing” panel at Boise Comic Arts Festival has become an ongoing project from Vannotes. Set in the wild lands of Odahi (which is definitely not Idaho with the letters swapped around), readers can expect fantasy western adventures from Rosa, Sheriff Grimtusk, Emilio the Goblin Treasure Hunter, and the Obsidian Sickle.

The first issue of Tall Tales of Odahi is anticipated for Summer 2026.

“Here There Be No Dragons” from BCAF Presents 2024

In 2024, Boise Comic Arts Festival debuted a new publication called Boise Comic Arts Festival Presents. Vannotes’ contribution for the publication included “Here There Be No Dragons,” the first comic set in the world of Odahi. In the comic, readers were introduced to Rosa, Thorn of War, and Sheriff Grimtusk for the first time. You can read it in it’s entirety below.
